Each group holds up to 12 people, or up to 16 if two certified EFT trainers or a trainer plus a certified EFT supervisor co-lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Within the EFT Tango structure, each module focuses on specific stages of the EFT model and the tasks and moves that fit them. The course totals at least 48 hours of teaching, practice and feedback and is a key step towards EFT therapist certification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">From 2024, <strong>the Standard Core Skills course<\/strong> will also be offered. This is a shorter, revised version of the Extended Core Skills course, comprising a total of 24 hours of training: 12 hours are devoted to the first stage of therapy and 12 hours to the second stage. An ICEEFT-certified trainer can run it online or in person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Like Extended Core Skills, Standard Core Skills counts as basic EFT training and is required to apply for certification as an emotionally focused couples therapist. The process recognises therapists who meet this standard and points out where they can still grow.<\/p>\n<p>The application is thorough and intensive, letting the applicant deepen knowledge and grow as an EFT therapist. So applying is part of learning and growing. Certification is not the end of the EFT path but a key step in a therapist\u2019s ongoing development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ICEEFT offers separate certification in these EFT specialisms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>EFCT<\/strong> \u2013 emotionally focused couples therapy;<\/li>\n<li><strong>EFIT<\/strong> \u2013 emotionally focused individual therapy;<\/li>\n<li><strong>EFFT<\/strong> \u2013 emotionally focused family therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To qualify, a therapist must finish approved courses for their chosen focus and then get supervision from a certified supervisor in that same area.
