Liina Lehtla

I have been involved in the world of self-development and therapy since my twenties, initially motivated by a personal need to better understand life and relationships. Over time, I completed various therapy training courses and began offering what I had learned to others.
For over 20 years, I was involved in bringing foreign self-development teachers to Estonia, organizing their courses and training sessions. This provided an excellent opportunity to learn and develop myself, and gradually mature into a therapist. I believe that therapists are developed over time, through personal life experiences and drawing conclusions from them. Each training course has supported me in just the right way at that moment in time, which in turn gives me valuable experience of how a particular method could support my clients.
However, I believe that the lessons learned from my own first relationship, which ended in separation, have been the main driving force behind my continued interest and motivation as a couples therapist. I want to be the kind of support and source of knowledge for “my peers” that we ourselves once desperately needed but did not have. Fortunately, life usually gives us the opportunity to correct our mistakes in new relationships, where I can constantly put all the theories I have learned into practice – both in my 15-year marriage and in my relationships with my four children.

Today, I work full-time as a therapist. In addition to emotionally focused couples therapy, I have completed training in breathing therapy (liberating breathing), holistic regression therapy, and systemic couples and family therapy. I have been awarded the title of family psychotherapist (level 7). In addition, I have been practicing Five Rhythms® dance for almost 20 years, which I consider an important experience for deeply understanding and feeling the unity of body and mind.
